VINCENT TV PRODUCTIONS LAUNCHES SCRIPTED LABEL ‘GINGER FICTION’ AND STRIKES DEAL WITH VIAPLAY
Amsterdam, 28th of February 2022: Vincent TV Producties launches new fiction label ‘Ginger Fiction’ and secures first development deal amongst Viaplay’s first Dutch scripted commissions.
Ginger Fiction’s ‘The Guilty’ features in Viaplay’s inaugural Dutch scripted development slate. The Guilty, written by Liesbeth Strik, is a family drama/crime show that deals with the question: how far would you go to protect your child? A mother discovers that her teenage son is guilty of murder and must go to extreme lengths to make sure he doesn’t end up in prison.
“We are incredibly proud and excited to launch Ginger Fiction,” stated Vincent ter Voert, co-founder of Vincent TV. “It’s great to launch a scripted label and already secure a deal for our first high-end series ‘The Guilty’. We look forward to sharing news about more projects with the world soon. Taking this step into the scripted world is a natural progression in the growth of our company. Launching our first major scripted development together with Viaplay makes it even better, as we worked so well together on Dragons’ Den, set to be released later this year”.
Ginger Fiction will focus on high-end series and mainstream theatrical releases for the Dutch and international market.
Lisa May Visser, creative producer of Ginger Fiction added, “I’m thrilled to be part of the Vincent TV journey and expand the business by launching the Ginger Fiction labeI, and work together with the greatest talents in both the Netherlands and internationally to create exciting returnable scripted content.”
